IP-enabled device need connection through VPN

We have an IP-enabled device that we wish to communicate with over the Internet. This device is placed at a remote location (supplier) and our systems need to communicate with this device. We have a Cisco 1812 connecting our local system with the Internet.

Q1. What is the best solution for connecting the IP-enabled device with our system over the Internet?

I suppose a gateway to gateway vpn would be a good solution, but unfortunately we do not have access to configure the 1812. It is configured for vpn client access.

Q2. Is it possible to configure, for example, a Cisco ASA 5505 to connect to the 1812 as a vpn client?

Q3. Is it possible to use a PC (connected via VPN to our system) as a proxy between the IP-enabled device and our system?

Can't the IP-enabled device connect to the 1812 as a VPN clinet? Assuming it can run a VPN client?

ASKER

If life was that good :) Nope, it is not possible to install any software on that device - it is entirely proprietary. So it needs another device to provide the vpn.
