Upgrade cognos 1.1MR2 to cognos 8

Upgrade process is in progress.
Restored the contents store from old version
 But I am getting login error while running the report.
Following are the error details:

QE-DEF-0285 The logon failed.
QE-DEF-0325 The logon failed for the following reason:
RQP-DEF-0068 Unable to connect to at least one database during a multi-database attach to 1 database(s) in:
SOWB_DS
UDA-SQL-0576 An unknown collation sequence "GTOFNDB1" was specified for the local sort.

Please help me to find the solution.

Check the datsource connection properties.  Looks like someone entered a collation sequence.  reprotnet would have effectievely ignored it, but Cognos 8 will actually try to use it, which you probably dont' want.

Cognos service is not starting
Server got restarted and following are the log file are as follows.

Exactly how many different issues are you going to try to cram into one question?  

So let me get this straight.  The new system was up and running fine, no errors. Then you imported the old content store, and the system still worked fine but you couldn't run certain reports. Then you rebooted, and you're getting this now?  There's something missing here.  Open Cognos Configuration ,and test the configuration.

Thanks for you valued  suggestion. i re-installed congos8. while running  the report I am getting error 'An error occurred while performing operation 'sqlPrepareWithOptions' status='-201''. Please find the attachement for error details. Please help to resolve the error. Thanks in advance.
