Rejected email

Everytime we send an email message to anyone with an Embarqmail.com address, we get the message
<dell-pdc.cvhsinc.org #5.7.1 smtp;554 5.7.1 [SC13] Your email was rejected for policy reasons. Reasons for rejection may be related to content with spam-like characteristics or IP/domain reputation problems.  I have contacted Embarqmail to see if there was anything they could do, but they cannot help.  Any suggestion?

You should check whether your IP is black listed in spam databases ..

You can check it from the following site http://www.mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx 

Also, ask your ISP to create a REVERSE DNS Entry for you ....

I checked and we are not on a blacklist and we already have a reverse dns set up.  I am still going to call my ISP.  Thanks

I spoke with our ISP and he said that everything was working fine and our ip address, dns lookup and reverse lookup, and pointers were all fine and haven't been changed in 5 years.  Any other suggestions?

Then it seems, problem is with the recipient  mail server configurations .. They might have added your IP into their black list ...
