Switch user to Roaming Profile Hourglass

Hoping someone could help me.  I am trying to set a user to roaming profile from the Domino Admin... I accept the defaults and the user gets the alert box saying that the admin has made their account a roaming one... but then, instead of a nifty little globe next to the user's name in admin there is an hourglass and the details show that Roaming is "In Progress".  I've made a few other users Roaming, and they switched pretty quickly.. this one is taking more than a day.  I've stopped the roaming upgrade, compacted their database (just in case, since it was 2.1G) ran an updall, a fixup, etc... to no avail.  There is still an hourglass sitting next to that account.  Any thoughts?
