I have been adding my own user defined fields in BCM and I received a Field Count Exceeded!  Is this true or is there a way to add more user defined fields?  (This item type has reached its limit of 40 user-defined fields).

unfortunately it looks like that is a hard limit. It looks like this is a way that M$ makes their money off of you by limiting you to 40 fields. Anything more than that and you need to purchase CRM.

"Well, your requirements are really for MS CRM, not BCM.  In MS CRM, you can
add many more than 40 fields and you can assign user access rights.  BCM
doesn't work like that -- you will have to move to CRM."

Thank you for your response.  Not the answer I wanted but sometimes the truth hurts.  I understand know what is going on.
