Windows 2003 domain controller logical disk manager admin service not starting - server hangs

Windows 2003 server hangs on reboot and log in - I have tried to reboot this domain controller several times.  Ended up having to press the power button to shut down.  I discovered via a different domain controller through Computer Management on this domain controller (1) that the logical disk manager administrative service is hung at Starting.  I need to send a command from domain controller 2 to domain controller 1 to start this service.  Is this possible?

Cant you just user the mmc and the services plugin in. When you load the plug in it gives you the option to load it for the local machine or a remote machine. I would think you would be able to just enter the remote machines name in there and manage its services.

If that doesnt work you could always try the SC command.

Would you explain to me how to do this?  I know how to get to services on the remote machine, but the option was not there to start the service.  It was hanging at Starting....   I wanted to send a command to start the service to the remote machine.
