Did you give the cluster address at the time of configuring?. If so, you can provide the cluster address.

1. Otherwise, you have to give the proxy URL of weblogic.
2. If you have hardware loadbalancer which loadbalances your 2 servers, you can provide the hardware loadbalancer address.

i didn't give the cluster address at the time of configuring. instead I am trying to give that from admin console.

moreover, we are using no h/w load balancers for proxying.

We should have given proxy URL of weblogic, but the problem here is that we are not using java applications in this case. we are using web services,so  there is no point of web servers coming into picture.

Any suggessions?

If you are using h/w loadbalancer, have you configured the node ips in the loadbalancer?

If so, you would have a virtual ip of loadbalancer for that specific pool of nodes for weblogic. You can point your application to that ip.

For example:
1. Let us say you have 10.10.10.1 and 10.10.10.2 as 2 node ips which has got weblogic.
2. You would have configured h/w loadbalancer to split the load b/n these 2 boxes and mentioned that the virtual ip is 10.10.1.3 (this is just example).
3. Now, whenever you hit 10.10.1.3:7001 h/w would forward the request to one of your nodes.

You have to point your java app to this loadbalancer ip.
