Cannot RDC into XP workstation

The terminal server service is stopped.  When I try and start the Terminal Server Service it errors and says "The terminal service failed to start because this is not a terminal server computer, Event ID 1017"

This is Windows XP and Terminal Service used to work.

Wasn't intended to be rude.  I think you are reading between the lines.  If I have to pay $200 for a solution then it isn't an acceptable solution, thus why I wrote "if I have to pay for it I won't award points."

The green button at the bottom says "Accept as Solution", which implies that I have to think the suggestion is the solution otherwise why give the discretion to the person asking instead give it to the Moderator or you.  Obviously that's not the case, which is why I'm not being rude by my statement.

Thanks for your help and I was able to fix what was wrong by modifying the registry, which is exactly what I was looking for.  I was unable to find that article myself.

Thanks!
No problem bro and thanks.  I ran into a similar situation a while back and had to find both work arounds and the registry one always helps when you have the rights.  Have a good day man.
