C: drive invisible in "My Computer"
but visible in explorer. How to fix?

Download Tweak UI and install it
Start Tweak UI
Click the (+) sign near the My Computer section
Select Drives
Put a checkmark near the drive-letters that you want to unhide
Click Apply, OK
