We have an Exchange 2007 cluster (running sp1, on a Windows 2003 platform) 
OWA is installed and a certificate is configured on the box, external access is available (via: https://mail.domain.com) 
 
We are trying to develop a bespoke mail application, which requires interaction with exchange server, &nbsp;when we specify the local exchange server name , we are presented with a certificate error, as the certificate is only configured to the external URL, 
 
As a programmer, I am not sure where to look for references to this type of issue, any help would be appreciated.

As a work round, I tried connecting through http/OWA to exchange server, although, I am unable to open items due to the SSL certificate requirment...
