Hi,

I recently installed an IDE travan tape drive, Seagate model STT20000A. It works when I do a manual backup using the built in backup utility that comes with Windows. I scheduled a job for everyday at 10pm. It is saying it could not run the backup because there is no unused media inserted. They put a new tape in Monday through Friday. I set it to do a full backup, and to overwrite the previous job. Am I missing something here? is there free software that will do a better job? I need it to do a full backup and overwrite the existing information. Thanks...

Go into the task scheduler, edit your backup task and add /um at the end of the command line. See if that works.
