Network software recommendation

One of my customers has a 4 spoke WAN using Sonicwall VPNs managed by a third party. I suspect the transfer rate between sites to be much lower than what they are paying for. Can anyone make a solid recommendation for software to accurately test bandwidth site to site. I am thinking something that would be installed an a computer at site A and site B. Again, I do not have access to the Sonicwalls.

Thanks in advance.
