The terminal server 2008 web access, is there anyway to run this without an active x control install or any additional installations needed?  For example it does not seem to work without RDP 6.1.

Even if you run a server in the middle that can run these add-ons for the remote client pcs?

Pretty sure there is no workaround for using the TS Web Access feature.....6.1 is needed. Recently spent some time myself looking for another way and couldn't come up with anything.

Your other (slightly less stringent) option would be using the TS RemoteApp Manager to create an .rdp file, or windows installer package that deploys the .rdp(s), which bypasses the need to visit the Web Access site and only requires RDP client 6.0

Do you think an http proxy with TS would work?
