rpc over http no longer working after applying kb958644

Well I'm assuming the problem started after applying kb958644 on SBS 2003 SP2 but that is the only change I can think of.  It does work if I establish a vpn tunnel.

KB958644 applies to Windows 7 Pre-Beta... why would you have installed it on your system?
