Excel won't format currencies with a Yen symbol (¥).  It only formats with the prefix JPY for Japan.  How can I make it format a currency with the ¥ sign?

Nah it does format the cell as per Japan currency...enclosed if the file for your reference...to check the format..go to the cell..for instance A1-->Right click on the mouse and format cell..and you would find the formating in currency and yen sign in front...

If you check in custom..thats how it looks like...

[$¥-411]#,##0.00
