yes hardware raid , so when i went to disk management the 500 gb data drive was not formatted to accept data , so i formatted the hd to NTFS , so this process will format both 500gb hds??<br />
even though it only shows one ??? i gather the answer is yes but just want to make sure ..<br />

Yes, you are correct. You can also verify this by looking at the raid configuration to see that it is a raid 1 (mirroring) with both drives.

experts i have a new server windows server 2008 installed <br />
os installed on 80 gb <br />
it has 2 - &nbsp;500 gb sata hard drives &quot;mirrored&quot; <br />
it disk mangement i only see the the 80 gb os hard dirve and one 500 gb hard drive <br />
should i see both 500 gb drives when they are mirrored ???<br />
