Is it ok to add an email address directly to user object using the "email address tab" in dsa.msc without creating a Recipient policy to check the box that says "This exch org is responsible for all mail delivery to this address" ???

For example i already have user roy & his current email address is roys@newzone.com
Recipient policy for newzone.com already exist in exchange 2003
Now i want to give another email address to him roys@premier.com directly/manually without creating the recipient policy in exchange
I already created mx record for premier.com

Will exchange deliver any email send to roys@premier.com coming from internet?

Hi,

You want to have a recipient policy for each SMTP domain that you are going to be responsible for. You should be able to filter to policy so that it only applies to Roy if you don't want everyone to end up with a premier.com address.

Otherwise you would need to be an open relay which is very bad.
