How can I unlock a form section if the section is locked by default?

We are attempting to write extra on-change script into the Appointment-Activity date fields, but the SECTION of the form is locked, and thus the field can not even be opened.  How can the section be unlocked for the field to be edited?

If you are talking about the "Scheduling Information" I don't think you can unlock the section.
