Hi all. I have this following Scenario:

I have a webapplication that receives xml files from a vendor. These xml files are sending as a post via https. In my application I read the stream of the files and go to the next step in my workflow.

Well, the problem is, I've been testing this xml files send funcionality by myself by regular http without https and it works perfectly.

The vendors going to test send me the xml files by xml next week. I want to know in advance what I need to do in my side to be able to read these xml files by https.

thanks in advance.

Can I assume that you are running the server & vendors are client machines?

See if this helps. http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/netfxnetcom/thread/7464abfe-e90a-44f8-977d-0551c9affc0b

You have two options:
(1) obtain a certificate from certification authority like verisign. I believe it would take some time.
(2) issue your own cert and ask vendors to trust it.
