multi-select for stored procs in cognos8

A stored procedure with input parameters linked to prompts has been succesfully created in Framework Manager and Report Studio.
In Report Studio however I'd like to use for some prompts a multi-select option.
I have changed the preference of the prompt to multi-select but it is not possible to select more than 1 in the LOV.
Is this possible or is the delimiter default ; (semicolon) and causing a problem in the stored procedure? The IN list should use , (comma).
Is there a workaround?

This is very important for me to be able to use the Stored Procedures in cognos 8, reportstudio, so I'd appreciate the attention to this issue.

Product limitation...Cognos can only pass single values to a stored procedure.  However, there are some workarounds.  Check the following KB for an example:

Thanks for the link to the KB, this solution for cognos v8.3 works. I tried it with 1 multi-select prompt and the InList is sent back.
Additional questions:
1/ the code uses now node.getAttribute('type') == 'checkbox'. How to change the java script for a List Box?
2/ My report has many input parameters that need to have the multi-select. How to change the java script in the html item to embed many variables? Can I use only one function assignParamValue() where many var prompt1, var prompt2,... are being declared and called?

Links to the KB are useful, but I still need to contact someone to open them as I don't have any account on the cognos DB. Is it possible to add a file in the future?
