Access 2007 recordset question

2nd Access question of the day

pretty simple code here but i'm doing something wrong at the end
I have a table named Checking and a field named Balance but the message box comes back empty

Dim db As Database
Set db = currentdb

   Dim rs As DAO.Recordset
     
   
   Set rs = db.OpenRecordset("Checking")

   
 rs.MoveLast
 
   
   MsgBox Balance

any help is appreciated
