301 Rediredt IIS6.0
We had URL www.abc.com years ago and changed to www.xyz.com about 6 years ago. In order to have the visitors find us back then we set up the website in IIS6.0 using both URLs pointing to the same website. The website uses hundreds of static product pages. Google has some product pages indexed with the old URL ( www.abc.com/products/001.htm) when they need to be directed to www.xyz.com/products/001.htm. Most visitors find us by searching for a part number on a search engine and not by coming in through the home index page.
We need to do a 301 redirect whereby we could drop the old URL from the point-to yet have the visitor looking for that part or the googlebot find the correct path. The site is on a server using MS Server 2003 with IIS6.0.
