Experts,

I have duplicate folders in my mailbox.  For example, I have in inbox under "Joe's Folders" and another one under "Local Folders".  How do I just merge them into one?

Hi there;

well, you can drag and drop.

or let's try for this:

Instead of draging Inbox from Joe's folder to Local folder, import the data from Joe's folder to Local folder. While in Local Folder, go to File > Import and follow the prompts to import Joe's folder.

or vice-versa...

Best regards...

I've settled for drag-and-drop since there is no File > Import.  It would be great if I could delete the folder I no longer want.  Doesn't look possible.

Hi there;

very sorry again...It's better to specify the software in the question...I am open to all zones and think that it was an Outlook issue...

Simply create a new account in Thunderbird, then moved the Inbox mbox file into the new account's folder so the emails would show up when you opened Thunderbird. You then dragged the emails to the place where you wanted them and deleted the new account...This is a workaround...

or a tutorial...http://mozilla.gunnars.net/thunderbird_mail_setup.html

Best regards...
