Hp Proliant DL180G5 is new and working properly with OS 2003 and no error in Device manager and Event viewer but 2 led activity on HDD not working.
Then the led is:
- burnt out
- plugged/wired in backward from the factory (leds are one way, they have to be wired positive and negative)
- wire/connection is broken
- the circuit on the mobo is pooched
The first thing to do is see if you can get the led to light up, either by swapping it to the pins the power led is on, or applying 5/12v to the unplugged connector.

led is burnt. does it light up if you try it on the power pins?
