On my WinXP Home computer I always get the message "svchost.exe Application Failure. instruction at 0x69532997. memory could not be read" when I shutdown my computer.
Can somebody help me to fix the problem? The answers about the svchost.exe problem on this site couldn't help me yet !
Thanks

There are a number of things that can cause svchost.exe errors.

0x69532997 shows up in the forums as being associated with Norton Internet Security [NIS]. Seems it shows up when there are 30 days or less left on the subscription. Fixes are to get rid of NIS or to install the new version.

I had Norton Internet Security 2007 on my pc and my subscription was valid for more than 100 days. So, I thaught this wouldn't be te problem. But I followed your advice and mad an upgrade to NIS 2009. Now the problem seems to be solved.
Thank you for your solution
