Will only bounch whole audio document

I am trying to just bounce pieces of an audio file at a time--I need to separate the audio.  When I highlight just the piece I want to bounce it includes the whole audio file.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi sudiio, not sure what your asking for with this term "Bounce" what software are you using? I can't see it from here :)
Is this Vista or xp?

To separate a strip of an audio file I highly recomend the free tool Audacity, drop your audio piece onto Audacity, using the left click drag the area you wish to hear into a greyed area. Then using the menue tabs play the highlighted areas, this features is great to edit add cut merge join normalising etc audio clips of various types. it has a lot more features well worth exploring. There is also Nero wave editor same thing as Audacity
If you have Nero then you also have the Nero Tools guides included
