I used the Cleanspl.exe on the xp to fix spooler, but now I can not install usb printer.

We were having problems with the spooler on xp pro computer. So I used the cleanspl.exe tool on the windows 2003 resource CD to fix the spooler. I was able to fix it and reinstall all network printers. But, I am having a problem reinstallin the local USB printer. I think it's a laserjet 1020, but can check once i get to the office.  It gives a some kind of " usb port not found, or not there error. Maybe the cleanspl.exe delted the port. Is there any way to reinstall it. Thank you,

Here are some possible USB solutions:

Remove all USB drivers with:

Sorry, I am not getting the second part
 and run:
rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 C:\WINDOWS\inf\usbstor.inf

Also, "UpperFilters" and "LowerFilters" registry  ( not sure what uper and lower filter are?)

rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 C:\WINDOWS\inf\usbstor.inf
should fix some USB problems. You may have to run:
rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 C:\WINNT\inf\usbstor.inf
depending on what your Windows folder is. You can also open to C:\WINDOWS\inf or C:\WINNT\inf and right-click:
and click "Install"
