Hi,
so change in snmpdv3.conf
COMMUNITY public public noAuthNoPriv 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 -
'public' public' to whatever you want (same string for both!)
Note that your snmp managers, e.g. tivoli (if any) should know the new name.
Please leave the clsmuxpd password unchanged, until everything else works.
We'll try to change it later.

Sorry for delay in closing. needed to organise a change slot, as server is in ppoduction
why do you want to change your community string?
Check whether you have the following line in /etc/snmpdv3.conf -
smux 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.1.2.1.5 clsmuxpd_password # HACMP/ES for AIX clsmuxpd
And, check whether you have
/usr/es/sbin/cluster/clsmu
up and running? (look at ps -ef)
If yes, restart the HACMP/snmp/clinfo environment
stopsrc -s clinfoES
stopsrc -s clsmuxpdES
stopsrc -s snmpd
startsrc -s snmpd
startsrc -s clsmuxpdES
startsrc -s clinfoES
and try again!
If still no success, please come back and give a closer description of your problems.
