Delete mdbdata log files after backup

I use Symantec Backup Exec 12 to backup a Exchange 2003 Server. When I backup the mdbdata directory it does not clear the logfiles. How do I enable this?

Make sure that in the job setup under exchange, it is set to Full - database and logs (flush committed logs)
