register tandberg device to cisco call manager

we have purchased video confrence soultion ( tandberg Edge MXP 95) .

i need help in how to configure it ( register) in the cisco call manager 6 . i noticed there is setting related for call manager .

Hi Abed,

Do you know which signaling protocol you would like to use?
As far as I know this model only supports SIP or H.323, so no SCCP support.
There may be certain differences regarding features, but SIP and H.323 should be the same from user point of view.
I can help you registering into CUCM using SIP.

go ahead and guide me  for the  SIP setting .


We do not have this type of equipment here, but try the followings:
1. Set up a new device in CUCM:
1.1 Create a new end user
1.2 Add a new 3rd party SIP device (Advanced)
1.3 Fill out the necessary fields and select the new user as the digest user
1.4 Define a new directory number for the device

2. Configure Tandberg:
2.1 Under network settings, set the SIP related parameters
2.2 SIP URI: extension_number@cucm_IP_address
2.3 Server: CUCM IP address
2.4 Username/Password should be your new user credentials
2.5 When you dial, be sure that you use SIP (by default it is H.323 I think)

Hopefully it works.

i have followed the steps you send  , it have been registerd to the call manger as SIP . but its working as phone only .
when i  dial to  video phone . it does not show any thing ,and it give amessage no video .

any suggestion to solve this .

Can you tell me what type of device are you trying to call?
Do you know what type of video resolution and codec is supported on the other device?
Can you check also the video settings on the Tandberg? Make sure that all of the resolutions and codecs are allowed.
CallManager thinks that the 2 devices are not compatible from video point of view, so that is why only audio is there.

i calling  cisco video phone 7985  . which manufactured by tandberg .
this phone is configured as SCCP phone . on the call manager .
all the codec is enabled on the tandberg .


What is you CUCM version?
I think you should try the latest...
Anyway, try to turn off H264RCDO on the tandberg device.
Can you try the video call with other devices?
