Using Wscript.shell to Launch Application

Need to launch an application stored on CD from HTML page on same CD.

Am trying to use Wscript.shell and it will not open my application.

Here's code I'm using.... What do I need to do to make it work?
Do I need to specify Drive where MyApp.exe is located? It's in same place as the Html and cold be D:, E:, F:,etc.

Any help is appreciated.

<html>
<script language="javascript">
function runAPP() {
var shell = new ActiveXObject("WScript.shell");
shell.run("MyApp.exe");
}
</script>
<input type="button" name="button1" value="Run MyApp" onClick="runAPP()" />
</html>
