I am getting the following error from my InterOrg replication logs:

ERROR: Unable to get ICS Hierarchy Collector from destination folder, failed [80004005]

This tool is designed by microsoft to replicate the contents of one public folder to another (in different forests).  I am not sure what the program is complaining about or how to rectify it.  Any help appreciated, thanks!

Are there any events appearing when this particular incident is taking place ???

  • Try removing this tool and re-installing it again.
  • Name the third-party solutions installed on the box where this issue is.
  • Check the inter-org log details (this should give some hint)
  • Work with application and system logs (should help us).
Once through with the above steps, lets hope we can proceed.

Take Care

There is nothing in the Event Viewer that is pointing specifically to this tool (InterOrg) that I can find.

Only Third Party programs on this machine are:

Some Dell Tools
Symantec Antivirus
xTalk Management Console
