When I close MS Outlook 2007 and then check in the Task Manager, the process for Outlook is still running.

Some more info,

I have all removed 3rd party add-ins except Blueprint (allow greater control over appearance of printed material).

I have also run the scanpst.exe routine on the Outlook.pst and Archive.pst files. Some errors were detected in both and repaired. Unfortunately this did not solve the problem

Hello Starbuck67,

An addon or external program may be preventing Outlook from closing.  Try this troubleshooter

Hope this helps!

URL provided solved the problem. One of the add on programs that I was using was the problem.

Thanks
