No sound in Ubuntu 8.10

Hi all,

I recently installed Ubuntu 8.10.  I am having problems with my sound.  I've tried different ways to configure my sound, but I have no luck.  You can look at my configuration in the pics I attached.  Alsamixer doesn't show any playback devices. My motherboard has an HDA-Intel integrated sound card.  I works perfect under windows and it also worked when I had Ubuntu 8.04 installed.

Does anybody know why this is happening?

Check what Audio package was distributed with 8.04, and possibly remove PulseAudio, then add the older version. Else you can always just get the distribution from PulseAudio.

Hey I had solved this problem earlier. I forgot to close the thread.  Your solution is right though BraidenG.  I simply removed PuliseAudio.
