I have purchased 4 second hand Dell Optiplex GX240 PC's which run Windows 2000 Pro. The machines work fine other than the only display option I have is 16 colours. I have checkled the graphics card and tried to install the driver from the ATI site - http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/2k/legacy-2k.html - but when i run the driver i receive the error that the software required DirectX 8, now I have installed DirectX 9 as that is the only option I got from Windows?

The install then runs through to the end where I get this message "This display driver is not compatible with the display adapter(s) installed on your system"

I have tried to uninstall the card, search for hardware changes and install from windows update and that doesnt work either.

Any ideas folks?

Thanks!
