I can resolve Domain name in NSlookup but not in ping/explorer/outlook

This is totally wierd to me.

A client has a home network with a mixture of mac/ windows machines on it. One of the two windows xp machines has this pproblem the other is fine. All other machines access the network no problems.

When trying to browse the browser can not find web page.
When I ping with a domain name It does not resolve domain name.
When I ping the ip address of that domain name it works
When I use NSlookup It will resolve the domain name and give the correct IP address.

Any ideas where I could start looking?

Flush the DNS cache with ipconfig /flushdns.

OK I've found the solution this time.

    Flush the DNS didn't work
    Host file was OK

I later found out from the user that they got error messages while installing XP SP3.
I Installed SP3 by turning off MS live onecare security suite via the services and when completed with no error I was able to access the internet, many thanks for your help.
