power point and .pst file

Hi

I have another problem which i cannot solve so need lots of help. Microsoft offfice was installed on the pc by another technician and he copied his profile to default user profile. Now I have installed microsoft outlook 2003 as it was not installed. If i open it, its working fine but with other member of staff i get following error message.
The path specified for the file c:\Documents and settings \techn1\local settings \application data\Microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst is not valid.

I cannot login as other tech 'techn1' as he has left and his account has been deleted.  I tried to  create .pst file for every user but he has been loosing it everynow and outlook ask him to open the .pst file which he is not happy about. I even made him local administrator and still could not solve the problem. Can anyone help me to sort out this problem.

 thank you

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Not sure exactly what you are asking, but try deleting the default mail profile and recreating it;
locate the .pst file in windows explorer and in the permissions tab give the user full control of it (you may also have to move it to the root or a folder that the user can access.
Hope this helps
