How to turn off autocomplete on IE through and C#

I need to turn off the autocomplete function on IE, when the the user is on my website.  I am using .Net 1.1, Asp.Net and C#.
I know in ,Net 2.0 you can use autocomplete=off, but 1.1 does not have this.

Any ideas welcome

    these articles suggests that you will get results if you use autocomplete=off in 1.1,one of  the author even claim he have achieved results.

    just curoius, did you try putting autocomplete=off in form and in the input ?

    Hello.  Yeah I tried the autocomplete=off in form and in the input but it didn't work.  I will ahve a look at the links you have given
