PHP script exiting before it is finished

Hi There

I have written a script for our website that imports listings into our database. The script does quite a bit of manipulating, importing listings, as well as pulling off and converting images from other sites (we have permission for all that).

However, my script always gets to around the 150 listing mark (no the same, sometimes 130's or more than 160) or in that range. I dont think it is a time limit on the script as I have set it quite high, and I also have another script written by someone else that runs alot longer but never quits prematurely.

Is there anything else other than time that could cause this premature exit, considering the code is good (when I restart the script it carries off from where it left off and goes for another 150 or so listings). Is it handling too much data? Is ther any way around this, i.e. clearing cache or letting it sleep for a while?

Maybe increasing the memory limit helps? Are any error messages been shown? Do you have error_reporting on?

how do you run the script? is it as server side web script or as shell script? how to find it premature exit? is there error on your browser (assuming that you run the script as server side web script)? what is the error that you see?

Got error reporting on: error_reporting(E_ALL ^ E_NOTICE);

however it is not giving me any errors.

It is a server side web script. no errors, it just stops.

Two minutes, it seems to only run for 120 seconds and then stops.

Any idea why? Considering another script on our server runs for way longer.
Sorry, ignore last post, put a sleep function in and it went for longer.

It always seems to be about the 145 - 160 listing mark.
Ok, think I found out where it is always stopping, but still dont know why. It always seems to get to a certain part of the script, where I drag the images from another site to our server. Can you see anything wrong with the way I am doing it? Or, could it be that the memory is too high? Or too many open connections? Or anything, I really dont know.

I would place a debugging line like,
