Vista Diminished Capability Mode

I have a Vista machine that for some reason did not re-activate with the KMS machine. The only way to login now is in "Diminished Capability Mode". Is there a way around this so I can get it to activate with the KMS machine without having to reload Vista?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I guess what you mean is "Reduced Functionality mode."  Here is an article about how to allow you to give you more time to activate Windows:

Restoring Vista functionality once in reduced functionality mode

Just follow the directions in the screenshots making up the article.
