Errors on Upgrading SBS2003 and Migration to 2008

I have a SBS2003 Server, and I have been following the steps to do the Migration to SBS2008.

I have done all the upgrades needed on the SBS2003 Server, After I get to the point when the SBS2008 Server reads the answer file.
I get the following error that the source server needed to be updated/Upgraded.

I cant find any steps that I missed.

Has anyone seen this?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Follow the migration docs.
Look in the SBS 2008 setup logs directory to see if it tells you what the source of the problem is.
There are a number of very critical steps:
 Domain/Forest is 2003 native
 Exchange is 2003 native.
 No IE7
 Win2K3 SP2
To start with.

How can you view it if the server is in Install mode?

Here are the logs, I did find part of my error was because I did not have both servers on the Internet. But the Migration still failed. Yet besides a video driver and something else that was not able to be updated I cant see why this failed.

Migration will fail until such time as everything else is cleared up.

Can you run the Fix My Network wizard on SBS 08 and see what issues come up?

Philip What is Fix my Network?

I think the issue from DCDIAG might be the problem, Since it is a small office I think I am going to just install SBS 2008 and then create a new server with the same name & Domain name. I am not sure if I can use the migration of the settings though.

If you are going to start fresh, make sure to export all of your user's Outlooks to PST files. Make sure their Junk folder and Deleted Items folder are emptied. Verify their mailbox size in Exchange.
On the new SBS 08 box make sure you set the mailbox sizes appropriatly before people import their PSTs back into Outlook.
