Windows installer problem

Hi!
I am having a problem . I created an MSI PACKAGE for RAM Structure System and First time I installed it it worked fine on the PC. Due to some issues on this PC I had to remote the msi Pakage and now I want to install it I get  a strange prompt that a Previouse installatioin is in process and if you want to run this you should undo the changes. I can not remember the exact wording.  But I think I am close.

Can some one tell me why is this happening?

You can probably clean up the orphan Windows installer process using the Windows installer cleanup utility from Microsoft:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

Hard to say whether the uninstallation problem you ran into was a fluke, or a problem with your MSI package; you could always try installing it and uninstalling it again (or on a different machine) to see if the symptom is reproduceable.

Check this:
- Reboot you pc, check if 1 or more msiexe.exe are running in taskmanager, if so use "end process" to kill them. try to run your msi again.

Your problem is like akahan said, the msiexec process or an orphan process locks access to this service. If the process is still locked after reboot check the eventlogs (application) to identify the problem. In most cases the msi has to replace a dll and it's not getting the job done.
