Sql Server Management Studio 2008 not scripting table permissions

Sql Server Management Studio 2008 is not scripting table permissions even when I select the option to script object level permissions. Is this a bug or is there another way to do this? It is creating permissions for stored procs, but not for tables. I am a sysadmin.

If it doesn't work, are there free sql server tools to script the permissions?

first thing to check (and apologies if you have)... can you be sure that permission have been defined for this/those tables?
If you script out a table with no specific permissions defined then there will be no "grant" text in the script - even if you choose the option to script object permissions.

This seems to be a bug as noted by someone elsewhere.

Are you sure your management Studio is the 2008 version and not 2005?

It seems all that setting does is that whatever setting you have in there is the default for the script permissions in the Generate scripts wizard.

It doesn't control whether the wizard is able to create the permissions or not.

I am asking about the version because someone said it works for MS 2005 but not for MS 2008.

My SSMS is 2005 and this is a 2005 zone.
I didn't notice the 2008 in the title - sorry
