How to convert WordBasic commands into VBA for Word2003

I have a macro with plenty of WordBasic commands. Would it work faster if I convert the commands to Word2003? How can I get help to translate?

    I do not think that converting the commands will speed up your macros.
    Although I read that for long, complex Wordbasic macros you would gain performance.
