Hi the webpage
will not displayt in safari. The webpage is largely system generated, but I can amend some of the code including the doctype and header information.
The webpage only displays the header html in a webpage using safari.
This is what it displays:
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="0;URL=/patroninfo/0/redirect=/search?/rexam+papers/rexam+papers/1,9,9,B/l962@info~1052226&FF=rexam+papers+business+and+humanities+2005+2006&1,1,,0,0,0"></HEAD>
any help would be appreciated,

    I've tried in safari 3.1.2 and firefox 7.0.5x   and they both display it the same  as IE7 if you have a wide enough screen resolution.  if you resize the browsers  smaller both Firefox and safari  don't rearrange the right column, but IE does  to make it  appear underneath the middle column.  I Believe Firefox and Safari are correct .
    what size screen are you designing to?

    it's for a screen. resolution 1152x864. The resolution etc dosent bother me, that page is supposed to show a login screen, you put in details and then a pdf displays. I know it uses frames. the login screen looks like:

    try validating the page on
    You might have an error, like an unclosed CSS tag or something. The w3 validator will show you the error.

    remove the if statement checking for IE7
    <!--[if lte IE 7]>
    <link rel="stylesheet" media="all" type="text/css" href="/screens/ie_styles.css" />
