Rich Text and Views

I know you can not display rich text in views.  But I had a person to create a form some time ago they created two rich text fields.  No attachments where ever placed in the fields just text.  Now they are wanting to display the text in a view.  Is there any work arounds that will allow me to shoe the text?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Depending on your Notes Client version, you can use @Text or @Abstract to display RichText in a view column.  Of the two functions, @Abstract is the most compatible with older versions.

If your RichText field is named Body, then you could use this formula in a view column:

@Abstract([TEXTONLY]; 5000; "Body");

Might not work. From the Help db: "Rich text conversion does not work in column formulas. Use @Abstract to convert the contents of a rich text field to plain text. Then reference the plain text field in the view."
