Turn off Review marks

Word 2007 - I have a doc that has review marks.  I'm trying to NOT display them.  \Review\final does it but saving & opening the file shows them again. How are these turned off permanently?

Thanks so much.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This fix works in Office 2003, I imagine there is something similar in 2007.

In the reviewing toolbar, to the right of "final showing markup" or whatever the option is, you should see four buttons, left arrow, right arrow, check, and x. The check is "accept changes" and it has a down arrow attached to it. If you click the down arrow, you should see "accept all changes in document."

Accepting the changes should remove the markup.
