Entourage not able to receive emails with .msg attachments

Hi all,

Does anyone know how or why Entourage is not receiving emails with .msg attachments on it, all other emails with various attachments seems fine.  Also we are running Exchange Server 2007.   Thanks in advance.

I wish I had a better answer for you but Entourage is not compatible with the .msg format.  This link has a work around by renaming the file and opening it with word, which may work for a couple of emails.

But if you have more than that then you may be better off to install Thunderbird which should be able to view those files.

It is crazy that Outlook would send messages in a format that Entourage can't read.

Thanks for the quick response, but at the moment Entourage is not even able to receive any emails with a .msg attachment in it.  But I am able to see it in Outlook.  Is there a filter that is blocking these emails out?

Pwit,

Sorry for the delayed response, had a busy day.  I'll make two word docs one for each version.  I'll post them in the next two days.

Pwit,

Sorry I posted that to the wrong question.  But...  I've played with the version of Entourage that I have and can't get it to duplicate.  Try doing a reinstall of the application.

Couldn't seem to find a solution to this weird problem, even after upgrading to Office 2008.  Only solution we had was have the users run VMware Fusion and use Outlook to view those certain messages.  Thanks for all your time and help tenaj-207.
