C# Windows Client App Submit to update list items in SharePoint

I have created a simple C# application in Visual C# 2008 Express edition.
The application contains a drop down combolist box containing needed data.
A numbers only text field that will contain needed data
an animated gif
and a button.

The results of the application i would like on click to send the data to a sharepoint list site without overwriting data simply adding it to the list.

Is this something that I can do within the language and if so can anyone offer me some assistance with this?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Access to the Sharepoint API is only available on a server that is a member of the Sharepoint farm.  There is some limited access with web services, however, they aren't well documented because Microsoft doesn't encourage using them.
