Word & Excel Viewer, thru Citrix, having issues

We have a Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 environment.  We use Word & Excel Viewers for the users that don't have Office 2007.  Each time they go to open a word or excel document it trys to install a program.  I have done the right click / choose program / always use thei program to open this kind of file.  This doesn't stick and keeps trying to install every time.  I have made sure that they are a member of that published application and have permission to that folder. It does finally open after a few seconds. Any help would be appreciated.

Are there any eventvwr messages in regards to the Viewer install?  Does it happen when you RDP to the server and lauch the application?  What happens past the screenshot you posted?  What if you log onto the console of the server (mstsc /v:servername /console)?
It sounds like the Viewers didn't complete their install... does the eventvwr say anything when this happens.

You may want to re-download the installers for the viewers locally and reinstall.

1. Uninstall via Add/Remove Programs
2. Reboot if prompted
3. Put server in install mode (change user /install)
4. Install viewers locally.
5. Reboot if prompted or change to execute mode (change user /execute).

I reinstalled all the viewers and will see if they work tomorrow after the reboot tonight. Thanks.

They still do that Installing software each time you open something up.  Any other ideas?
